1. Evaluating power availability
Power is our starting point. Whether it is a parcel of land, a commercial building or a fleet yard, we look at what electrical service exists today, which utility serves the address and what capacity the planned equipment would need. Utility capacity is confirmed with the utility for each specific site; we never assume it.
- Existing service size, switchgear and panels
- Serving utility, such as Nashville Electric Service or Middle Tennessee Electric
- Load calculation for chargers, HVAC equipment and other new loads
- Whether a service upgrade or load management is needed
2. Planning EV charging sites
For landowners and businesses, we combine the power review with the property itself: access, parking layout, nearby highways and the drivers or fleets that need charging. That tells us whether a site suits Level 2 or DC fast charging, and whether a lease, partnership or direct installation fits best.
| Factor | What we review | Why it matters |
|---|---|---|
| Power | Service, utility, capacity | Sets charger type and stall count |
| Access | Entrances, parking, truck turning room | Determines cars, vans or semis |
| Location | Highways and nearby demand | Shapes who will use the site |
| Rules | Zoning and permits | Confirms what can be built |
3. Delivering electrical and HVAC work
GridWise is both an electrical and an HVAC company, so one team plans circuits, disconnects, controls and mechanical equipment together. Our own crews self-perform the work rather than handing it to unknown subcontractors, from service upgrades and EV chargers to solar + battery storage and commercial HVAC.
- Tennessee electrical license TN77232 BC/CE
- HVAC license 744451
- Leadership with 20+ years in electrical engineering, HVAC and general contracting

- Permits, inspections and utility coordination handled for you
Experience behind the process
Our track record includes fiber optic work for Google across Tennessee, electrical work at Opry Mills and a 91-stall Level 2 charging site in Pompano Beach, Florida. See Our Work and Projects for what is confirmed on each job.
