What our commercial electricians do

Commercial work is rarely one task. A single project can include a new service entrance, panel and feeder work, branch circuits for tenant spaces, lighting and controls, and dedicated circuits for equipment. We plan the whole electrical scope with you so inspections, utility coordination and other trades line up instead of colliding.

  • Tenant improvements and build-outs
  • New construction and additions
  • Service entrance, switchboard and panel upgrades
  • Interior, exterior and parking lot lighting with controls
  • Dedicated circuits for kitchens, shops and equipment
  • Troubleshooting, repairs and preventive maintenance
  • Commercial EV charging and fleet depots

Built for occupied buildings

Most of our commercial customers keep operating while we work. We schedule shutdowns ahead of time, coordinate with property managers, keep work areas clean and safe, and communicate before power is interrupted. Where a business cannot go dark, we plan phased cutovers or temporary power so the work fits your operations.

Permits, inspections and the utility

In Nashville, commercial electrical permits run through Metro Codes; surrounding cities and counties have their own offices, and the State Fire Marshal’s Office handles electrical inspections in many Tennessee jurisdictions. We pull the permits, schedule inspections and coordinate service changes with Nashville Electric Service, Middle Tennessee Electric or the utility serving your address.

One contractor for power, HVAC and charging

Because GridWise Energy is both an electrical and an HVAC company, we can coordinate rooftop unit circuits, equipment disconnects and controls with the mechanical work instead of handing them between two subcontractors. The same team designs and installs EV charging, solar and battery storage when your building is ready for it.

How a commercial project works with us

Send plans, photos or a short description. We walk the site, confirm the scope, identify utility or code questions, and provide a written proposal. Once approved, our licensed electricians complete the work, manage inspections and hand over the documentation your facility team needs.
