Charging we install
We have built charging from single home chargers to large commercial sites. Because GridWise Energy also develops charging locations, we look at charging the way an owner does: uptime, future expansion and operating cost, not just the day of installation.
- Home Level 2 chargers on dedicated 240V circuits
- Workplace and retail charging
- Multifamily and parking garage charging
- Fleet depot charging for vans, trucks and buses
- DC fast charging and NEVI-style highway sites
- Load management and networked charger setup
- Trenching, conduit, pedestals and bollards
What drives the cost
We do not publish flat prices because conditions vary so much. The main factors are the charger model and power level, how far the charger is from the panel, whether trenching or boring is required, available panel and service capacity, utility requirements, permits and any network or software subscription. A site visit turns those unknowns into a written quote.
Utility coordination
Larger commercial and DC fast charging projects often need a new or upgraded service from Nashville Electric Service, Middle Tennessee Electric or the utility serving the property. We prepare the load information, coordinate the service request and plan construction around the utility’s schedule.
Charging levels compared
Choosing the right level depends on how long vehicles park and how much range they need.
| Charger type | Where it fits | Electrical needs |
|---|---|---|
| Level 2 home | Overnight home charging | Dedicated 240V circuit |
| Level 2 commercial | Workplaces, multifamily, hotels | Multiple circuits, often load managed |
| Fleet depot | Vans, trucks and buses parked overnight | Larger service, often a new transformer |
| DC fast charging | Highway and retail quick stops | Three-phase service and utility coordination |
